![]() The boat in the middle of the picture is the White Heather. There was a colour postcard available for many years of her being relaunched in the 1960s. It will appear here in the colour gallery soon. index
Note the line of telephone poles along the north side of the green and the wooden pens on the north side of the fank. The loch on the north side of the road is also clear of weed. Now it is almost completely overgrown. index
Until the 1960s lamb sales were held at Badentarbet fank every year. This picture dates from the 1950s. Badentarbet Lodge is visible in the background. The picture below although from a totally unconnected source, appears to have been taken on the same day as many of the same people can be seen in both. index ![]() index

The view from above Altandhu predates the chalets, the new pier and most of the boats in Old Dornie. As in the other townships cultivation is extensive. index ![]() index

index There is the top of a small tree just visible against the leanto of the house in the foreground of the picture. Many people will remember it overhanging the road in recent years but it was blown over in a storm in January 2005 after standing for over 80 years. Reiff
